Tropi-Coco: A Tasty Pink Pitaya Smoothie Recipe

​If you need to satisfy that sweet tooth without raiding the candy draw then this simple pink pitaya smoothie recipe is for you. Not only is it totally Instagrammable, but this pink creation is full of nutrients and filling too.
Using just four ingredients, you can whizz this vegan-friendly smoothie recipe up in just a few minutes. Feel free to add in a handful of spinach to get your greens, or whizz-up other herbs, fruits, nuts and superfoods such as medicinal mushrooms or goji berry powder to make this smoothie truly your own.
1 banana
1/2 a pineapple
1 cup of coconut milk
1 tsp of pink pitaya powder


Pop the banana and the pineapple into your blender and then pour in a cup of the coconut milk. Add a spoonful or the pink pitaya and then blend until smooth. Add more coconut milk until you achieve your desired consistency, and add a little more of the pink pitaya superfood powder if you would like to make it a more vibrant color. Enjoy immediately.

It’s also very simple to make, and will only take a few minutes to put together. We’ve listed almond milk here but you can use any sort of plant-based milk that you choose.

1 1/2 cups of almond milk

1 tsp of any of our wonderful CBD Drink Mixes

1 tsp of coconut oil

A dash of vanilla extract

Pour the almond milk into a saucepan and gently warm it up on a low heat. Boil some water in the kettle and pour a small amount of it into a cup. Add the CBD drink powder and then stir it to make a paste. Scoop the paste into your blender and add the coconut oil and a little more of the cold almond milk. Blitz the mixture until it’s nice and frothy. If it’s not blending properly, then you are going to need to add more cold almond milk. Pour the mixture into the saucepan with the warm almond milk and stir. Pour the liquid into your mug and sprinkle it with a dash of pitaya powder for added prettiness. As a salad dressing…
Anything olive oil can do, we can do better. Use hemp oil like you would olive oil, drizzled over crunchy lettuce leaves with a squeeze of lime or whipped into a tasty vinaigrette with balsamic, lemon, salt and pepper.

On Hemp CBD Oil Roast Potatoes…

This was how chef Hugh Fearnley– Whittingstall first convinced people that hemp oil was the next big thing. We know everyone has their favourite way of making roast potatoes, so why not make this one yours? Here’s the hemp oil roast potatoes recipe, take it as your own.
Red Potatoes – Use baby red potatoes or regular sized.

CBD Hemp Oil – CBD oil is great!

Garlic Powder – Use a little more garlic powder if you like, I used 1/2 teaspoon which was just right for me, and not overpowering.

Thyme – In place of fresh thyme, you can use fresh chopped rosemary, parsley, or even oregano. Dried herbs are just as good. I use 1 teaspoon, but feel free to add more or less.

Parsley – Fresh parsley adds wonderful flavor and brightness to the roasted potatoes.

Salt & Pepper – I used flaky salt because large flaky salt is awesome. Sea salt and kosher salt works too!
The prep time only takes minutes, while roasting in the oven takes about an hour.

Be sure to scrub your potatoes well, removing any unsightly spots, then slice in half and quarter the potatoes (if using baby potatoes feel free to cut in them half instead).

Place potatoes on sheet pan, drizzle with olive oil, thyme (or rosemary), garlic powder, salt and pepper, and toss well to coat. For really caramelized potatoes, place the flesh sides down, they will get nice and flavorful.

Place in preheated oven, set at 400 F and bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour (these were in the oven for 1 full hour).

Let cool and serve with a sprinkle of chopped parsley. Parsley adds a nice bright flavor and freshness to the oven roasted potatoes. I highly recommend not skipping it!

Yields 24 brownies

4 cups all-purpose flour
3 cups granulated sugar
2 cups cocoa powder
1 ½ tsp salt
1 Tbsp baking powder

2 cup apple sauce
½ cup agave
1 cup almond milk
1 ½ cups sunflower oil
3 Tbsp The Daily Hit or another high-quality CBD oil
1 Tbsp vanilla extract

2 cups mini chocolate chips
6 Tbsp cocoa nibs

Combine all dry ingredients together in a mixing bowl.

In a separate container, combine and mix all wet ingredients.

Combine the wet into the dry and stir with a hand whisk until smooth. Add the chocolate chips and mix again.

Pour the batter onto two 9″ x 12″ paper-lined and lightly oiled baking pans. Top with the cocoa nibs.

Bake at 325 F for 12 minutes.

Allow brownies to cool and cut each sheet into 12 portions.
